CXRD - Design Impact Framework
I had the privilege of collaborating with two talented researchers on a challenging and multifaceted project. Together, we conducted an extensive literature review, interviewed stakeholders, researched design-driven companies, analyzed complex data sets, and ultimately developed a groundbreaking framework for Design Leaders at Viasat.
BEAM - Design System
Using Atomic Design Principles, created design components for SaaS, collaborated with Design System Manger and PM to check the consistency, then published them to BEAM Design System, ensuring consistency and scalability.
Single source of truth
I had the opportunity to work closely with the Manager and VP to develop a comprehensive and streamlined onboarding process for the CXRD team. By creating a single source of truth, we were able to simplify the assimilation of new employees and ensure that all team members received consistent, high-quality training and support.
As a Design Ops Intern at Viasat, I learned valuable skills in remote collaboration across different time zones. Working through limitations and leveraging each other's strengths became key factors in successful project outcomes. I also gained project engagement skills, as well as adaptability to digital tools.
Design Operations is a rapidly emerging field within the design industry. As design teams continue to expand, it is critical to enhance their efficiency in order to contribute effectively to the business. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in Design Operations, which helped me appreciate the importance of efficient collaboration in design teams.
For the CXRD framework project, we contributed to creating a concrete road map for the CXRD Leadership and a preliminary framework for measuring the impact of design work on the business. Through extensive research and interviews with employees from 10+ design-driven companies, we were able to provide valuable insights that CXRD team can use to take inspiration.
Additionally, I leveraged my design skills to create responsive designs for different breakpoints and updated new components in the design system, improving the overall usability and functionality of the organization's design assets.
